Year Constructed: 2006Aaron Burr Hall is a historic building which required an extension and reconstruction of its stone facade exterior. The replacement facade had to match exactly the original. Each chiseled face of each stone had to be matched perfectly along with a matching color while matching the pattern of the veneer stone arrangement. All architectural items had to be replicated exactly including banding, cornices, coping and door surrounds. To add to the challenge, the wall veneer was angled, not flat, leading to cornering issues. L corners were an engineering challenge. Corners also were required to be a combination of smooth faced and chiseled units. All challenges were successfully met by AAS.
